Find another therapistMy journey into therapy began with a lifelong fascination with psychology and a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. After a successful corporate sales career in London, I followed my passion to retrain as a counsellor, earning my Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling alongside various specialist certifications in areas such as trauma, suicide bereavement, and anger management.
Throughout my professional career, I have gained extensive experience working across diverse settings. This includes providing counselling for Age UK to support elderly individuals, and working within a hospital-based foundation offering therapeutic support to cancer patients and their families. I also work closely with a suicide bereavement foundation, supporting individuals struggling with suicidal ideation and families navigating the complex grief of loss to suicide.
I am committed to the highest professional standards and regularly engage in continual professional development. My background in both corporate environments and specialised charitable sectors allows me to bring a grounded, empathetic, and versatile perspective to my clinical practice.

“I saw Elcin for a few sessions about family issues. She works in a lovey, inspiring setting which feels secure. She listened calmly and responded gently, giving me space to explore and try to make sense of the situation. I felt more empowered having seen her and also had some ideas to put into practice.”

“Elcin and I worked through a very challenging period of my life. She was both supportive yet challenging and she has had a tangible positive impact on how I feel and the perspective I now have on my own situation. I would recommend working with her if you really want to make a change.”
