Hello, I’m Daniella, a warm and experienced therapist dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges. My approach to psychotherapeutic counselling prioritises the relationship we build together, as I believe a genuine and compassionate connection is the foundation for meaningful healing. I offer a down-to-earth and confidential space where you can safely explore your thoughts without judgment.
I understand that reaching out for support can be daunting and requires significant strength. Having experienced therapy myself during my training, I can relate to the nerves and apprehension you might feel. My goal is to ensure you feel truly heard and supported from our very first session, helping you move away from managing painful emotions in isolation.
In our work, I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques whenever they can provide practical value. By breaking down complex challenges into manageable steps, we can address unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. This structured element of my practice is designed to give you the tools and confidence needed to make lasting changes to your day-to-day wellbeing.
ADHD/ASD - I have undertaken additional training with Professor Tony Attwood in relation to Neuro-Divergence in women. I regularly work with individuals and couples where one or both partners have ADHD or are autistic (ASD). This can be either self-diagnosed or clinically diagnosed. It’s vital to help people better understand the challenges and the impact on their relationships and communication, together with differences in emotional needs and the difficulties neuro-divergence can bring.
I also find clients respond well to Compassion Focused Therapy and can often use elements to help normalise some of the feelings and thoughts you might be experiencing. This can help you feel more in control of your emotions.
