About Sara

Hello, my name is Sara and I’m a warm, compassionate, and thoughtful psychotherapeutic counsellor. I offer a supportive space for adults navigating a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges. My commitment is to treat you as an individual, ensuring that I never impose a ‘one size fits all’ approach to your mental health.

In our sessions, I use an integrative approach that blends traditional counselling models with evidence-based CBT techniques. This balance allows us to investigate how your past might be influencing your present, while also focusing on the here and now. By combining these methods, we can tailor the therapy to suit your specific needs and goals.

You will find that I provide a safe, non-judgemental environment where you will be treated with the utmost respect, empathy, and understanding. My aim is to help you feel heard and understood so you can begin to make sense of your problems and start the process of healing.

Working together, we will explore the thoughts and emotions that may be affecting your quality of life, work, and relationships. It is my goal to help you build insight and develop the emotional resilience needed to move forward with greater confidence.

    Perfect….

Sara was brilliant throughout my sessions. She listened intently and helped me see the bigger picture with clarity. Always professional and just a lovely person to visit and talk with. Sara is about as good a practitioner as you’ll find. She helped fully understand the meaning to my childhood and family life aswell as helping me with understanding how my former career in the police would have impacted me after leaving. I would have no hesitation in recommending her and would see her again if ever I needed help further. After the sessions I have a clear, renewed perspective and feel I am in the right place. Thank you so much Sara.

I found Sara while searching online for a counsellor. After the sudden loss of my mum, I felt I needed counselling. At the same time, I was caring for my 89-year-old dad, and I simply couldn't accept that my mum had gone. I felt lost and couldn't understand why I no longer felt like myself. Although I only had a few sessions, Sara helped me from day one. She listened with kindness and compassion, never judged me, and helped me understand that everything I was feeling was a natural response to such a huge loss. For the first time, I felt truly heard and understood. She also helped me realise that I didn't have to do everything on my own. I had been putting everyone else first, and she encouraged me to take care of myself too. She gave me practical, realistic tips that helped me rebuild my confidence, regain my strength, and start putting my own wellbeing first without feeling guilty. She also gave me valuable ways to cope with the difficult days, which have been incredibly helpful. Not only have these tools helped me through my own grief, but they've also helped me support my dad as he grieves the loss of my mum. I will always be grateful for Sara's support, kindness, and guidance. If you're unsure about reaching out for counselling, I would encourage you to take that first step. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I can't recommend Sara highly enough.
