About Jackie

Hello, my name is Jackie. I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a significant step, and I recognise the courage it takes to do so. Many individuals find themselves struggling with difficult emotions or challenging situations, and I want to reassure you that you are not alone in seeking help to navigate these experiences. My aim is to create a welcoming and secure space where you can begin your journey with confidence.

My therapeutic approach primarily integrates my core theory of Person Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to effectively address issues such as anxiety, depression, worry, anger and a range of other mental health concerns. I work collaboratively with you, offering practical tools and strategies to help you understand and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. Together, we will equip you with key techniques to use both inside and outside the counselling room, to help support you reach your goal.

During our sessions, you can expect a welcoming, safe, confidential, and entirely non-judgemental environment where you can freely express yourself and talk openly. We will structure sessions to work through your concerns at your pace, focusing on building practical skills that lead to measurable, positive changes in your daily life. My objective is to support you in developing greater resilience and achieving your personal goals.

I also specialise in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and Cognitive Behavioural Couples Therapy, providing dedicated support for trauma, PTSD, relationship challenges and other mental health concerns, I tailor these specialised interventions to meet your unique needs and cultivate lasting improvements.

    Professional, personable and caring

From the moment I met Jackie I felt so comfortable with her and I knew she was the right person for my husband and I to talk to. She is friendly, approachable and caring and never judges. She has helped us through some tough discussions and I would recommend her to anyone who is in need of some support and counselling. I have had some EMDR sessions with her that helped me process a traumatic event and will be using this technique again to help me through a difficult situation I have found myself in! I would highly recommend Jackie to anyone.

I was going through a lot of trauma and health anxiety issues. I reached out and had some sessions with Jackie. She helped me through to understand what was going on and exactly how I was feeling. She taut me ways of how to relax and make me feel at ease about what I was feeling. I am very happy that I saw Jackie for the sessions as I don’t think that I would be anywhere near somewhat back to normal than where I was. I couldn't recommend enough. Lovely and kind person. Thank you Jackie!

She made me feel comfortable and heard every time

I wasn't sure about going to see a therapist because I have always struggled to speak about myself and my feelings, especially with people I do not know and am not very close with but I decided to try. Jackie made me feel really comfortable, and she made me feel heard when I was speaking. She made me feel like I could speak about anything but also never made me feel like I had to speak about something if I wasn't ready. I can not recommend Jackie enough!
