How I can help

I will equip you with evidence-based CBT techniques to effectively challenge unhelpful thoughts and manage overwhelming emotions, helping you feel more grounded and in control.

We will work together to identify and reframe any negative thought patterns and behaviours that are contributing to anxiety, low mood, or feelings of being 'stuck', paving the way for lasting change.

I'll guide you in developing practical, personalised coping strategies and behavioural experiments to build resilience and navigate stress, anxiety, and depression more effectively.

We'll gently and systematically address the impacts of anxiety, phobias, or past experiences, using structured approaches to foster emotional healing and recovery.

I'll help you gain clarity on your personal goals and values, providing you with the tools and insights necessary to make empowered decisions and move confidently towards a more fulfilling life.

Background and experience

I have over eighteen years of experience working across mental health and social care. Before qualifying as a therapist, I supported individuals in secondary mental health services, forensic settings, and during Mental Health Act assessments. these roles provided me with a deep understanding of trauma, vulnerability, and the vital importance of compassionate, person-centred support.

Furthermore, I have extensive experience volunteering for charities supporting people with addictions and complex life experiences. My recent work with refugees has allowed me to receive specialised training in trauma-informed practice. These diverse professional experiences guide my grounded approach today, helping me support clients facing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and personality-related difficulties.

I only met Emma once for my furat time teuing therapy. Emma was lovely and welcoming to her home. Unfortunately due to personal reason the timing just wasn't right for me. I am sure Emma will be amazing supporting others moving forward and maybe myself un the future.

    Supportive and person centred,

From the very beginning Emma has created such a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where I feel genuinely listened to and understood. She’s been helping me to better understand and manage my neurodiversity, and the difference it’s made has been incredible. She has a way of explaining things that just make sense, while giving me practical tools and strategies that I can actually use in everyday life. Her kindness, patience, and encouragement have helped me build confidence and see myself with much more compassion. I always leave our sessions feeling lighter, more understood, and better equipped to cope with whatever I’m facing.
