About Mark

Hello, I’m Mark, a fully qualified and highly experienced Psychotherapeutic Therapist. I provide a warm, calm, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and develop the tools needed to make positive, lasting changes. Dealing with life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, but through professional therapy, we can begin to understand the reasons behind these feelings and find ways to overcome the obstacles you encounter.

My approach is structured yet flexible, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred, and Psychodynamic methods. I believe in tailoring therapy to your unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. Whether you are dealing with low self-esteem, anger, bereavement, or trauma, I am committed to providing a safe and confidential environment where you can feel comfortable enough to open up.

In our sessions, my goal is to help you make sense of your life and empower you with practical tools to build a positive future. We will work together to explore new perspectives and behaviours that encourage personal growth and resilience, ensuring you feel at ease throughout the process.

I welcome adults of all ages and backgrounds. I also provide guidance on navigating the behaviours of others who influence your life, equipping you with strategies to handle challenging situations and individuals with confidence and optimism.

Background and experience

My interest in psychology began in my teenage years and has grown into a fulfilling career helping others live their best lives. My professional journey has been diverse, including experience in catering, motoring, and commercial interiors as a Training Manager. These varied life experiences, combined with rigorous clinical training, have provided me with a deep understanding of human behaviour and the various stresses of modern life.

Throughout my career, psychometric testing has consistently highlighted my strengths in empathy, analytical thinking, and relationship building. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), which ensures my practice meets the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.

I find great reward in seeing my clients make meaningful progress. Many of those I work with express that they wish they had started therapy sooner, and my focus remains on helping individuals minimise conflict and stress to achieve a content, confident, and happy life.
