About Shauna
Hello, my name is Shauna and I'm a fully qualified accredited Integrative Therapist. I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you will be supported and heard. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but I am here to ensure you do not have to do it alone. My aim is to help you work towards positive change at your own pace, providing professional guidance every step of the way.
As an integrative therapist, I tailor my approach to suit your individual needs. I frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is particularly effective if you feel stuck in your current circumstances. By using CBT, we can break down your problems into manageable parts, recognise unhelpful patterns of behaviour, and build new ways of thinking and coping.
In our initial sessions, we will gently explore what is troubling you and identify what you would like to change. If you are not yet sure what your specific goals are, that is absolutely okay; many clients feel this way. Together, we will work to find clarity and direction in a way that feels natural and comfortable for you.

Background and experience
My professional journey began in social care and midwifery, which provided me with a strong foundation in building trusting therapeutic relationships and honing my communication skills. I spent many years working in residential homes and independent living services, supporting adults with physical and learning disabilities, as well as working within hospital settings.
This diverse background has given me extensive experience in supporting clients through a wide range of challenges. I specialise in helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, bereavement, and trauma. I also have significant experience working with substance misuse, gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia, neurodevelopmental conditions, and eating disorders. Regardless of what you are going through, I will meet you with empathy and work alongside you at your pace.
